Well it has been quite some time since I last posted on the blog and I must apologize for that. To be fair, however, I was on a most needed vacation, and was in no mindset to blog about screenwriting. Now that the vacation is over, and I am fully recharged, I’d like to welcome you all back to the blog.
There are a lot of things happening in 2016, some I am going to be sharing while others are still under lock and key until further notice. As I write this countless distractions bombard me like bullets in a war zone, and I slowly realize how much discipline I have lost when it comes to writing.
I constantly preach to my students about their lack of discipline, their lack of responsibility, and their lack of being able to deliver their assignments on time, yet here I stand barely being able to deliver to you my readers a blog post every week. So one of the things that 2016 will bring is a more consistent posting schedule on MehannaWriter. Whether it is Reviews, Articles, Scenes, and eventually the podcast.
I will be adding another set of topics to the Blog section of the site, one of which will deal with numbers… yes, numbers. I will be following and tracking film data (box office, trends, genre popularity etc). I have recently found a great interest in these analytics and want to share this with all of you.
Spring of 2016 will grant me more time within my schedule to be able to dedicate to my writing, as well as to my health (not that I am unhealthy or anything) but I will be able to go to the gym more regularly.
So all in all I believe that the new year will allow this site to flourish and grow and hopefully make you more loyal readers. May 2016 be just a prosperous for all of you as well.
