Journalism students at the Salon du livre

The faculty of communication and information at the Université Antonine, was represented by its students at the Salon du livre, the annual book fair in Beirut. Their attendance has certainly enabled them to put their studies into practice. The students have interviewed many prominent prospects that were present during the fair such as May Menassa, May Chidiac and Henri Zgheib. In addition to reporting the event as proper professional journalists.

This initiative was originated by Dr. Joe Moukarzel, dean of the faculty, encouraging those young adults and preparing them for the forthcoming career life. Leading the group, chairperson of the media department Mrs. Rania Barroud; also an important TV personality and a role model to guide them through this experience. Holding Masters in Journalism from Sorbonne University - Paris, as well as Masters in Journalism for Radio and Television from C.F.P.J. – Paris; she has an extensive significant professional career, appearing and hosting talk shows on future TV, Al Jadeed TV. Mrs. Barroud is not only a successful journalist, but a great example to those young students; helping them shape their identity as well as ensuring their high-standard work ethics, as many graduates have represented their faculty in the workplace.
