All the world is a stage.
A multi-talented individual who loves interacting with people, Michel Hourany is not only a gifted actor and a TV presenter, but also a communication and theatre coach. Besides being a university instructor teaching drama, performance, production and communication, Hourany was chosen by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to lead the first “Communication Skills workshop for deputies in the Arab world†entitled “On Stageâ€. The workshop has started in the Algerian Parliament in June 2013.
Hourany started his coaching career with the Center for Educational Research and Development, which is under the trusteeship of the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Through his 6 years of theatrical and communication training for public school educators, he organized 50 workshops across Lebanon until 2005 when he became an instructor in 3 Lebanese universities, to later founding a drama club at the Université Antonine in 2011.
“On Stage†is a communication training based on action and theatrical skills, aimed at both individuals and corporations who like to evolve in these following aspects:
- Team building
- Communication skills
- One on one coaching
- Acting workshop
- Training for trainers
Michel Hourany is also the director of the Lebanese Film Academy (LFA), which was founded back in 2000. The LFA offers workshops for professionals and university students, to be able to familiarize themselves with the audiovisual equipment, projects and practices.
