After his research studies in Political Philosophy, and a Doctoral Degree in Information and Communication Sciences (web geopolitics and online data) from Université Paris II Panthéon – Assas; Dr. Alexandre Joux was a guest at Université Antonine introducing a workshop for the Master’s students at the faculty of Information and Communication, regarding the influence of politics on media agencies in Lebanon and if the media are a key factor in determining political views.

 

He is currently the Director of the Journalism Faculty at Aix-Marseille University, after being in charge of the economic studies for the French prime minister; where he worked on the laws and regulations of media.  

Alexandre has been an instructor at the university since 2008, as an expert in web and new media, his researches consist in the economy of information and cultural industries; besides the emphasis on the electronic strategies of media, online services and the international communication among societies. In 2010, Dr. Joux has published « Les nouvelles frontières du Net » with Laure Kaltenbach; while in 2014 « Introduction à l'économie des médias Â» in collaboration with Marc Bassoni.

He visited the Université Antonine to discuss future collaborations with the French university: a creation of parallel courses between Marseille and Beirut for an intercultural relation among the Mediterranean academic institutions; aimed for for scholars pursing their master’s degree, as well as professors and researchers.
