Is mercy a weakness or a strength?

with Université Antonine - 2016-02-18

"In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was 'Help me.' Sometimes a prayer was 'Thank you.' What I've discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away."

This year is the jubilee year of mercy as decreed by Pope Francis. In this occasion, the Universite Antonine and the Faculty of Theology and Pastoral studies have organized a round table event entitled: " Is mercy a weakness or a strength? "

Placed under the patronage of  Daoud Reaidy, Superior General of the Antonine Maronite Order and the Great Chancellor of the academic establishment of Universite Antonine. This event has gathered several prominent speakers such as Bishop. Boulos Rouhana, Dr. Wajih Kanso and Mr. Paul Dawalibi among a diversified crowd.

Animated by Dr. Nayla Abi Nader, she steered the round table event between controversial discussions and the prospects' opinions regarding the topic of mercy; how do they perceive it in reality, its practicality in our societies, how to truly live it in a world full of violence, how Muslims and Christians define its meaning...
